Pics since we got home

Grandma reading books to Kamden in the morning.
Kamden watching Caillou lying next to his sleeping brother (on the hardwood).
First new outfit of the season...
Michelle showing off her perfect little boy...now if only we could get him to sleep during the night.
Check this little one out!

Bringing Logan home from the hospital

Bringing the young one home from the hospital was quite the chore. Michelle had a list of things for me to accomplish at home before she arrived with the baby. I'm happy to say that I did complete the list, but may not have lived up to her expectations.

Grandma bought Kamden a stroller so he could push his own baby around the house.

Grandma Dillon meets Logan

Grandma Dillon met Logan Monday afternoon. She was going crazy having to wait for Kamden to take his nap and Kole to get home from school before being able to go to the hospital.

Major flooding in the Olympic Penninsula

Below is a photo of the busiest intersection in Thurston County yesterday morning. It is in West Olympia near our old apartment. I-5 just south of Olympia has also been closed and will not reopen until Thursday. I'm going down to Centralia to help clean up on Saturday. Read the article from The Olympian here.

Our Restaurant is Gone

Ranch House BBQ that we have enjoyed almost on a monthly basis for the last two and a half years is now gone having been destroyed by a mudslide. Read the article in The Olympian.

Logan Reed has arrived!

Michelle and I went to the hospital around 1am this morning and it took until 6am for them to determine that she was in labor. Michelle tested positive for GSB last week and so she took her first round of antibiotics at 6:15am and the second just before noon. Logan Reed arrived this afternoon at 2:31pm. He weighed in at 7 lbs and 0.5 oz and was 20 inches tall. He matched his cousin Kaitlyn's apgar scores of 9 and 9. Michelle and Logan are both happy and healthy and we feel very blessed. More photos to come...

First Trip to the New Cabelas in Lacey

We took the boys to the new Cabelas store in Lacey tonight. They boys loved all of the animals, especially the large sea lion donated by the Smithsonian and the African display featuring a rhino, elephant, and lion. The polar bear and moose were also very impressive. We had dinner at the cafe in the store. Michelle had the white chicken chili in a bread bowl, the boys split a huge hot dog, and I had a venison brat smothered with kraut. It was tasty and had a little kick to it.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

We are trying to get everything done early this year as we plan on having a new arrival in our household! The decorations are up, most of the shopping and wrapping is done and even our Christmas cards are addressed and ready to go. Christmas, please hurry up and get here!

I am black raspberry?

So I did this quiz that a friend sent me and this is my result. You can do it yourself to find out what flavor you are!

"The Mini-Van Club"

In an attempt to provide a large enough vehicle for our growing family, we have been forced to join "The Mini-Van Club." Most of our friends have already surrendered to this inevitable situation so I guess its about time we did too. We are enjoying having it though. We bought dressers for the boys on Saturday and it was so nice not to have to call someone who had a truck or van to help us bring them home. Kole's favorite feature, of course, is the DVD player which, if he had it his way, we would use 24/7. Kamden, who never used to ask to go anywhere can't stop saying, "bye-bye new car?" Pretty funny..

Halloween 2007

I feel awful having neglected our site for the last month or so. Life has been so crazy that it has left little time for extras such as blogging and the like. We have had some changes in the Dillon household which has made life quite interesting. Kamden has moved into Kole's room and is finally sleeping in the new bunk beds we got for them. It took him quite a while to make this transition but he is actually staying in his "bi bed," (big bed) now. Halloween was lots of fun with Kole dressed as the black Spiderman (from Spiderman 3) and Kamden as a darling pirate! We took the kids trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. Kamden had us cracking up because at almost every house he would say "sucka?" in a feeble attempt to get a sucker from the unknowing homeowners. We did continually remind him that thank you was the appropriate response. Oh well, there's always next year!

Michelle-Back to School?!

In my endeavor to someday finish college I started taking a couple of classes at South Puget Sound Community College here in Olympia. I am taking an online Intro to Sociology class which I am finding very fascinating (which is good considering I have chosen Sociology as my major). I am also taking a math class which is held at the campus 2 evenings a week. I really dislike math but its not too bad considering I have Bryan at home to help me when I need it. ..(lucky him!)

Kole's First Soccer Game

Kole is very excited to be on his first soccer team through the Olympia YMCA. He went to practice last Wednesday and met his coach, who I have to say is amazing! I couldn't believe how he got these kids to listen and learn the "fundamentals" of soccer. It was very entertaining to watch them at the game. Kole got really close to scoring a goal and we were very proud of his efforts. He told us afterwards that his heart was pounding so hard! His team unfortunately did not win their first game (especially since the kids on the opposing team, I swear, were some form of superhuman species..) but maybe next time!

Kole's First Day of School

Look at the big boy! Kole had his first day of kindergarten on Monday, September 10. He enjoyed seeing his friends again, playing at recess, and exercising in the gym. He likes his new "kicks" and his new Turtle Power backpack. He is really excited that he gets to ride the bus to school this year. Our little boy is growing up!

Visiting Gpa and Gma Dillon in Utah

After we left my parents house in Hyrum we went to Sandy to stay at Bryan’s parents house. We had such a fun time playing games and going to restaurants like CafĂ© Rio and Village Baker. Kole and Kamden enjoyed the big wheels and swimming in the backyard. Kole also enjoyed visiting all the neighbors like Marla, Vic, Buddie and the Stuarts, and the Bradfields with their two dotsons. Watching Kamden and Adelaide interact and play together was really fun. It was especially nice to be present during the anticipation of the adoption of little Kaitlyn. We were so glad that we could be there to witness what a miraculous and exciting time for Jeff and Danielle as they awaited the arrival of their precious daughter. We couldn’t be there to see her come home from the hospital, but we were so fortunate to be able to go to the hospital to see her before we left. What a beautiful baby! Congratulations to Jeff and Danielle. We love you both so much and can’t wait to see what exciting adventures lie ahead as you journey into this whole parenting thing!

When it was finally time to make the trip back home we definitely had mixed feelings. We were excited to be sleeping in our own beds but were sad to see all the fun coming to an end. Being with our family was such a great way to spend the end of the summer.
